About the Opportunity
Foremost has immediate openings for B-Pressure Welders located at our facility in Lloydminster, Alberta.
This position includes, but is not limited to production welding, service and repair welding, prototype building, and fitter welding. As one of our welders, you will work with Lead Hands, Charge Hands and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements using MIG, ARC, and semi-automatic welding processes.
More specifically, your daily tasks will require you to:
- Read and interpret blueprints and follow Foremost welding procedures;
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding: gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW);
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting/plasma-cutting equipment;
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues;
- Have an open mind to changes in welding technology and repair techniques;
- Focus on quality, safety and production time on given projects and tasks.
In addition to a B Pressure Ticket, an Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets along with Sub-Arc experience would be highly desirable. Some shift work may be required. Safety training is an asset but we will provide training as required.
